Me and family

the three musketeers in action

Ardi, Asir, and Eiko were tearing in smile.
Oh How happy it would be if their childhood were last forever.

My son, soon you'll be a man. A man with responsible for a life.
God, please help and keep our children stay in your way.
Amen!

It is not a catwalk, is it?

Haniy, inheriting her Mom talent, tried a tip-toe style on the surface prepared for serving cake on "siraman" program. Putty and AUlia also posed some style (not shown)

My New House

"THis is my new house, my new palace!" Kak Sabrie told the crowds.

Good luck and enjoy it very much!

Morning Drift

In the morning drift, all materials on the river were pulled back to the up stream. This gives the unusual and very interesting nuance. I do love it, I do love an early morning atmosphere in the rural such as Kuala Kapuas.

It brings me out and far away from a crowded feeling.

How could we just think about the main land and capital in Jakarta? Let's move the capital to Borneo island!

Just wake up

Eiko, Putty, Haniy, Aulia, and Inyiak (Grandpa) were sitting down the veranda of the Guest House.

Early morning, though. I were looking for local food then called "Untuk-Untuk" for early breakfast. Not in the market, no way. They sell it on the "klotok", small ship for transporting people and commodities.

Sunset in Kuala Kapuas

We reached Kuala Kapuas, finally, in the afternoon of July 11th. In a calm sunset we starts our experience in the Water City (Kota Air). We're accomodated in a very nice and luxurius guest house with 5 star hotel facilities. And the sunset was so touchy, viewed from a humble "Small Ponton-floated" pier nearby our hotel's window.

It's done, we're full !

Asir, Noni dan Tata are full then. Still, they all keep smiling for us.

Nyaman lah? It's delicious, I bet.

Kak Iyam, Iin, Haniy, and Iyach enjoy soto plus satay hm..hm yummie!

Waiting for "Soto Banjar"

Asir, Noni, Tata, Eiko, and Ardi are ready to eat up the famous menu "Soto Banjar" in a semi-floating restorant in Banjarmasin. Eventhough they are hungry, they still keep smiling, sweet smile though. While Ardi is very serious to have a different menu "Sop Banjar".

Breakfast is ready

Are you hungry?
Breakfast is served, on the surface.
Good food, believe me. Ranging from soto, rawon plus seluang fish!
Who said "Life is difficult?". For them, it flows just like the river reaches the open sea.
We made it tough, didn't we?

take a break

Floating Market: Drinking Milk, still

Haniy cannot stay away from her milk bottle, even in a boat on the floating market in down town of Banjarmasin. Hm, still proceed with her routine "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, udah Mah!"
"In the name of God, lets go Ma!" she always starts her routine before drinking.

Floating Market (6): Ladies took the lead

Borneo island is rich of culture differences, including the way the business is done.
Here, the ladies are in charge to earn a living.
Hm.., may be men also are there. But the percentage of the ladies in business is increasing in line with the worsening condition of the suburb areas. Are you disagree?

Floating Market (5): Ladies in Front

Mariam, Haniy, Aulia, Putty and Mariah in action

FLoating Market (4): Sleepy eyes

Floating Market (3): Are on the right direction?

Mariam, Rofi, and Marlian are on the front row. While Putty and Nasir are behind.
"Nukar apa ai?"
[Wanna buy something?]

FLoating Market (2)

Here are the places on the surface of water, where all merchandisses "bartered".
Fruits for fish; lamber for others.

Floating Market, a must visit.

Early morning, after subuh prayer of Wednesday July 12th, we prepared everything to visit Floating Market in Banjarmasin.
